Information-action gap. AI text to action is coming sooner than we think. You want to be the boss; you probably won’t be good at it.
Welcome to a new issue of the newsletter, “Journal of discoveries.”
Each week, I check a list of hundreds of sources of inspiration to spot exciting articles, videos, podcasts, and books on personal development, leadership, management, technology, and innovation.
While this newsletter will remain a free resource, you might consider becoming a paid subscriber to support my work, and get access to my searchable Notion database. Thanks!
And now, let’s dive in!
One “must” for this week
"Information-Action Gap" by Sahil Bloom.
“If information isn't nurtured with action, it loses its power”.
He argues that action can be many things, from plainly rejecting the advice as unhelpful to following up, teaching others, or adapting existing routines and processes.
One of my favorite ways to reduce the information-action gap is to send a follow-up thank you message every time someone gives me advice and immediately set up the following action and follow-up.
