Reading is a human ability that hijacks ancient brain circuits that we originally used for pattern recognition in nature.
Daily reading gives us a lot of cognitive benefits including stress reduction, improved memory, stronger focus, expanded vocabulary, and better brain connectivity that can even slow the progression of Alzheimer's and dementia.
