One “must” for this week
"The Value of Acknowledging Your Mistakes" by Chris McCloskey.
Acknowledging mistakes is crucial for any healthy relationship, and especially for effective leadership.
Nonetheless, a survey revealed a significant gap between the importance of leaders admitting errors and their performance.
Eighty-one percent of respondents said that having a leader who will admit to being wrong is important or very important to inspire them to give their best efforts at work. Still, only 41 percent said their supervisors could be trusted to do so consistently—a gap of 40 percent.
